My absolute favorite coffee shop in Carbondale! Also one of my favorite places in town. The staff have always been really nice and helpful and cheerful! There are super cute decorations inside always. Coffee (and other drinks) are great quality at a great price. And I love the customizations and milk alternatives available.

We ordered Cafe Misto. The drink was good and the baristas were very friendly. We also had an almond croissant which was really good. Great place to relax and have a coffee. Clean restrooms for customers.

Super cute coffee place! I was starting to lose hope on good coffee places as the last few have fell so short. The staff was super friendly and helpful! I tried Einspanner (Iced) and a Tiki toffee (hot). I highly recommend the Einspanner, so much flavor. I also ordered a coffee cake muffin.. it was absolutely delicious! Not too sweet and the perfect amount of fluff.

We were in the Carbondale area for a couple days, and stopped by Common Grounds one morning for a cup of coffee. It seemed to be a popular spot for the nearby SIU campus, but for us, just visiting the area, it was an excellent latte with a small coffee shop environment. Perfect!

Been a minute since I've been here but ever since I moved, I missed this place. Always had a good coffee drink or smoothie. And they have lovely little pastries. Cute place, love it a lot.

Most consistently good coffee place in the area. I’ve never had a bad drink from here, and they’re always quick with it. The pricing is also the best you’re gonna get for coffee pretty much anywhere. 10/10 would recommend

I’ve been to a coffee shop that is this consistently good, I go multiple times a week since I work nearby and they have never once given me a bad experience. The prices are reasonable for this area and compared to other corporate chains in town, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming as well. Would recommend.

Excellent little local coffee shop right here in Carbondale near campus and exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble across on a rainy morning. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of personality without trying too hard. Service was genuinely kind and helpful from the moment I walked in, and you could tell this is a regular stop for a lot of locals and students alike. The inside has a very relaxed vibe with plenty of seating whether you want to study, catch up with friends, or just enjoy some quiet time with a coffee. Prices were very fair, the drinks hit the spot, and I highly recommend grabbing one of their souvenir mugs while you’re there. If I were a student here, this would absolutely become one of my regular spots. Visiting parents and travelers take note — this is a great little place to add to your radar when passing through Carbondale.
